Today, we used Photoshop and Final Cut to create a simple music video test animating shapes.
Using Photoshop, we created shapes in different colours with a transparent background for importing into Final Cut, once we had that, we were given a music track at random to animate the shapes to. I tried to make mine not to be cut to the beat so much, but also for it to feel like it fits the music. I mixed fast moving with slow build ups, like the music does to create my effect. I feel that this was a good exercise in trying to understand what to do by just listening to the music, and it worked well.
